THE WORLD LAUGHTER GAMES

Why is this happening?

There is a "new" way to laugh and Toronto could host the World Laughter Games. The rise of Laughter Yoga and New Laughter techniques have given rise to new laughter skills which are extremely entertaining when played competitively. There has never been A World Laughter Games before but they will be prototyped at the Toronto premiere of the breakthrough film Laughology. Anyone can enter on the spot and potentially become a world champion. The Just for Laughs Festival is formally considering making the World Laughter Games an annual event.

The first every World Laughter Games will take place Saturday November 21st at The Bloor Cinema in Toronto just before the premiere screening of the documentary Laughology.

The games are based on the principles of the "new laughter". The new laughter is based on getting people to laugh by using the sound or behaviours of laughter rather than jokes. Results are usually more intense and extreme. The World Laughter Games celebrate the healthy and curative power of laughter. People compete to improve, strengthen and empower their laughter.
